Nice solid/simple bunk bed August 31, 2010 Lynn Waldman (Inverness, IL United States) We looked at many many many bunk beds. They really range in price and often the less expensive ones are not very stable. That is not the case with this one. It is very stable and is an excellent value for the money. We are using it at a second home it is perfect and we didn't spend a few thousand dollars. It took the three of us (yes our 9 year old even helped us put it together) about an hour to assemble. The only annoyance are the little clips that secure the support bars you place the mattress on, they are tough to snap in, but not a deal breaker.
Nice Bed August 21, 2010 Bob Some say the assembly is hard. Not too bad, it's just takes some time. It took an hour or so. Just make sure when you're assembling the pieces together that the holes that have pieces fitting to them later are facing the right way. It was hard to tell by the instructions which way they go together but if you study it a little it will go together fine. Snapping all the plastic pieces together for the support rods are hard to do with your fingers, use the handle of a screw driver or something to pop them in. The quality is pretty nice for the price. The ladder is a little hard on the feet since the rods are so small but for a kid it would be ok.
You may not like what u get. May 5, 2010 Pandora (CONVERSE, TX, US) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The bunk bed itself is nice looking. However, I would recommend getting it from a local store. I bought it online and some of the parts were missing or deformed. If your get it online you may not get what you paid for.
Sturdy and attractive April 24, 2010 K.C. May (Georgia, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
UPS delivered the large box and left it in my driveway (I was home - they didn't bother to ring the bell). It was very heavy, but my neighbor helped me carry it into the house. Assembly instructions were pretty clear, and all parts were present and well-labeled. I laid out the pieces before inserting any bolts which avoided annoying mistakes. I've assembled furniture before and never has an assembly gone so smoothly. This bed was well-crafted and all the pieces fit together really well, with the exception of the long ladder piece on one end -- I can't for the life of me get the bottom bolt to line up right. Fortunately, it's on the end I'd planned to put against a wall, so it won't be used anyway. Also, there are plastic tab-like things that are intended to keep the support rods (beneath the mattress) in place, but they were very hard to get into the holes. I used a rubber mallet to get some in, but others just won't go. I assembled it alone in about three hours.
Great Bed March 4, 2010 Katrina Smith (Northern VA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I like the bed. It is very well made. Only problem I had with the bed was the instructions. You may have to have a degree in engineering to put the bed together, but once it's together it's great.
